Æther is a pale ale brewed with wheat malt & oats fermented with our special wild yeasts. It is very lightly hopped during the boil and then dry hopped right after the primary fermentation with Hallertau Blanc & Loral.
The dry hopping slows down the activity of the souring bacteria resulting in a very refreshing acidity complemented by the aromatics & flavors from the hops. 6% abv. 4x12oz cans, $14, limit 6 4pks per person. Also available on draft,
This week we welcome back Antioch and Pétanque, both on draft and in package!
Antioch (Blend #2)
Antioch is a blend of ales lying somewhere in between the Flemish Red & Oud Bruin styles. Historically it would have been referred to as a “provision beer”, meaning it was stored and aged to allow the flavor to develop.
Antioch (Blend #2) is a blend of several different ales that were aged under different conditions: About 1/3 is a blend of red ales double matured in a larger Sangiovese cask, while the other 2/3comes from various ales matured from 6 months to 3 years in red wine barrels. 8% abv. 750ml bottles, $14, limit 6 per person.
Pétanque
Brewed with just enough sourness to focus the mind while also being incredibly thirst quenching makes this the perfect companion for any rigorous outdoor activity, such as Pétanque! 4.8% abv. 4x12oz cans, $14, limit 6 4pks per person.

MORE INFO COMING SOON…
The wait is over, we are now carrying some wonderful wines in our tasting room! Of course focus still is, and will always be beer, we wanted to expand our menu a bit and offer a few wines. We are wine drinkers here too at OEC Brewing, and we wanted to showcase a few wines that we found interesting and that fit in with our quest to serve only liquids and food of the highest caliber, flavor and aromatically. We have hand selected three options to start. These wines are available by the glass or the bottle.
Heyl Zu Herrnsheim • Weisser Burgunder • 2016 • Germany • White • 12% abv
Fragrance of hazelnut and yellow fruit. Fresh, delicately fruity body, invigorating finish.
Domaine Richou • Anjou Rouge “Les 4 Chemins” • 2016 • France • Red • 13% abv
Beaujolais lovers rejoice. Unlike its similar sounding, distant friend Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc is much lighter and more savoury in character. This lovely Loire wine is full of red fruit and goes down effortlessly
Domaine de Piaugier • Sablet Rosé • 2017 • France • Rosé • 14.5% abv
Aroma of delicate cantaloupe which graceful melds into white peach. A subtle minerality stemming from the gentle ageing in concrete prior to bottling gives great length to the gorgeous summer fruit character. Very easy drinking and extraordinarily refreshing.
Our online store has been updated! Grab our brand new 3/4 sleeve baseball t-shirts (they run small, men should go up one size). Also we put up the brand new batch of Tempus (Blend #X) 750ml bottles, plus the last few magnums. Finally there are still a few tickets for our July Tour/Class “Doing the Unthinkable: Blending Beer with Mead, Cider, Sake & Kombucha” – more info here.
