The wait is over, we are now carrying some wonderful wines in our tasting room! Of course focus still is, and will always be beer, we wanted to expand our menu a bit and offer a few wines. We are wine drinkers here too at OEC Brewing, and we wanted to showcase a few wines that we found interesting and that fit in with our quest to serve only liquids and food of the highest caliber, flavor and aromatically. We have hand selected three options to start. These wines are available by the glass or the bottle.
Heyl Zu Herrnsheim • Weisser Burgunder • 2016 • Germany • White • 12% abv
Fragrance of hazelnut and yellow fruit. Fresh, delicately fruity body, invigorating finish.
Domaine Richou • Anjou Rouge “Les 4 Chemins” • 2016 • France • Red • 13% abv
Beaujolais lovers rejoice. Unlike its similar sounding, distant friend Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc is much lighter and more savoury in character. This lovely Loire wine is full of red fruit and goes down effortlessly
Domaine de Piaugier • Sablet Rosé • 2017 • France • Rosé • 14.5% abv
Aroma of delicate cantaloupe which graceful melds into white peach. A subtle minerality stemming from the gentle ageing in concrete prior to bottling gives great length to the gorgeous summer fruit character. Very easy drinking and extraordinarily refreshing.
