This Friday and Saturday (03/09 & 03/10/2018) we will be releasing three new beers: Antioch (Tokaji Double Barrel Singularis), Artista Zynergia: Gosanite and Exilis Dry Hopped: Saaz
In addition to the new beers, we will also have our friend Charles Larkin of Mystic Oysters here all day Friday 03/09 serving up some amazing oysters with a special mignonette made with OEC Brewing beer, oysters are cash only and should be available from 4-8 p.m. And now for the beers:
Antioch (Tokaji Double Barrel Singularis) – 500ml – 13 – Limit 6 per person.
Anitoch is a blend of ales lying somewhere in between the Flemish Red & Oud Bruin styles. Histoically it would have been referred to as a “provision beer”, meaning it was stored and aged to allow flavor to develop.
Antioch (Tokaji Double Barrel Sinularis) is a blend of our Flemish style red ales matured from 6 months to 3 years in red wine barrels and then double matured for 3 months in a special Tokaji white wine barrel from the Royal Tokaji Winery in Hungary. Available both on draft and to go in bottles. 8% abv.
Artista Zynergia: Gosanite (Blend #1) – 750ml – $15 – Limit 6 per person.
Artista Zynergia is an international blending project between B. United International, OEC Brewing and fine producers from around the world,
Gosanite is a blended new age Gose style ale produced in cooperation with Gosebrauerei Bayerischer Bahnhof (Leipzig, Germany). It is spiced with cardamom, coriander, vanilla, nutmeg, clove, orange peel and a touch of salt. Blend #1 is composed of 66% 1 year old ale aged in Bavarian Blue-Grey Granite & 34% 1 year old ale matured in red wine barrels. Available both on draft and to go in bottles. 5% abv.
Exilis Dry Hopped: Saaz – 4x16oz cans – $15 – Limit 6 4pks per person.
Methóde de Brassage is our line that highlights our unique historic brewing system & mashing techniques.
Exilis is our Berliner Style Weisse brewed using a traditional 3 part decoction using the thin part of the mash for the final decoction. The hops are added during the first decoction. Unboiled, the beer then sits in the coolship overnight. The next day it is transferred to the open fermentation tank and pitched with some house yeast making this a “semi-spontaneous” fermented ale.
Dry Hopping Exilis right after primary fermentation adds a unique twist by not only imparting flavors & aromas from the hops but also by slowing down the activity of the souring bacteria, allowing the beautiful wheat beer esters to stay around longer. Available both on draft and to go in cans. 3,8% abv.
