Join us Saturday, 02/25/2017 for Oudilis Day! We will bring you three versions of Oudilis this year, all available on draft and in bottles. Please note, there may be a long and early line for bottle sales so please plan accordingly. We will be on a number/order form system this day. Bottle sales begin at noon. Absolutely no early sales or holds on any of these bottles. They will not make it to on-line sales either. Thanks for understanding. Artista Zynergia is the OEC Brewing international blending project. Instead of collaborating with other brewers in a “traditional” sense, we brew a portion of the final product, while another producer brews a portion at their facility and ships it to us. We then take care of further aging and blend the liquids here at our place in Oxford, to create complex aromas and flavors, unobtainable by a “normal” collaboration.
For this Artista Zynergia project – we went to work with Hanssens Artisanaal. Hanssens is one of the last remaining lambic blenders in Belgium.
Oudilis (Blend #3) (blended 9/20/2016) – Oudilis is our interpretation of a “Belgian style Gueuze” with a slight tweak. This blend was done using 2 year old lambic ale and a “Berliner Weisse” style ale that was aged & soured in French Chardonnay barrels from France for 8 months. Limited to only 450 500ml bottles, with a strict limit of 3 per person.
Oudilis Cerasus (Blend #2) (blended 01/08/2017) – Oudilis Cerasus is an interpretation of a “Belgian Style Kriek” with a slight tweak. This blend was done using 3 year old Hanssen’s Scarenbecca Kriek and a sour saison that was matured 12 to 24 months in South African red wine barrels with fresh sour cherries from Tony’s parent’s back yard. Limited to only 450 500ml bottles, with a strict limit of 3 per person. Also limited to 15 magnum (1.5L) bottles*, read bottom for magnum purchase details.
Oudilis Fragaria (Blend #1) (blended 01/12/2017) Oudilis Fragaria is a special blend of 2 year old Hanssens lambic aged on strawberries in oak barrels and 1 year old OEC spontaneously fermented ale aged on our OEC grown straberries in a Gandona Vineyard Cabernet Franc barrel (St. Helena, CA USA). Limited to only 300 500ml bottles, with a strict limit of 2 per person. Also limited to 15 magnum (1.5L) bottles*, read bottom for magnum purchase details.
* Magnum purchase details: The magnums will not be listed on the order sheet. There are only 15 bottles available of both Oudilis Cerasus and Oudilis Fragaria, and the first 30 people in line (or however long they last) will have the opportunity to purchase one or the other, in order to try to spread the love.
