How long have you guys been here?
Brewing commenced in early 2014, and we opened our doors to the public on June 7th, 2014. We have been barrel aging and blending beers as part of the Zymatore project since 2011.
Whoa! I see you have a coolship, what beers go through it?
ALL OF THEM. Our beers spend on average about an hour in the coolship and are then open fermented. Our spontaneous and “semi-spontaneous” beers sit in the coolship overnight and then are transferred to their primary fermentation vessel (oak barrels, stainless, concrete open fermenter, granite, amphorae).
What styles of beers do you produce?
We produce many eccentric styles from lagers to white ale to sours.
I want to learn more about your brewery, how do I go about doing that?
Due to the demand, we now offer tours 3-4 times a year. Tony, our assistant brewer, will lead you on a 4 hour tour plus tasting of all things OEC. You will get to see up close and personal the full workings of OEC. Please visit the Tour page for this year’s schedule.
